Nokia Offers Lonely Planet Maps on Cell Phones
Nokia and travel information company Lonely Planet said today they are joining forces to sell maps and city guides that can be accessed on mobile phones.
Nokia Maps users can download information about more than 100 popular tourist locations provided by Lonely Planet. The guides help travelers find places to eat, shop and sleep, as well as describe popular sights and nightlife for each destination.
“It will help all those questions which travelers frequently have on the road such as ‘What should I explore today’ or ‘where should I go for dinner tonight?’” said Stephen Palmer, Lonely Planet CEO. “Together with Nokia we will help more travelers connect profoundly with their world, every day.”
